장엄한 자연을 닮은 본오의 21여년 간의 여정을 담아 표현한 작업 철학과 오브제 작업.

동대문디자인플라자(DDP) 전역에서 개최 된 서울디자인 2024에 참여한 유일한 공간디자인 회사로서
단독 전시관 <Bono’s Archive of Memories and Traces: 본오의 기억과 흔적의 아카이브>로 참여했다.
지난 21년 여정을 담은 기억저장소 콘셉트의 파빌리온으로
철학과 본질을 체험할 수 있는 단독 전시관이자,
기억의 흔적과 생각의 주름이 하나의 이야기를 이루는 공간으로 설계하였다.
각기 다른 층위에서 이루어진 기억과 생각의 흔적들이 하나의 이야기를 이루듯,
다양한 구조, 주제, 철학을 엮어 형상화한 4개의 기둥 오브제로 파빌리온을 형성하였다.
오브제들은 황량한 벌판에서 작은 나무 한 그루가 세월을 견디며 성장해온 모습,
마치 자연의 비바람이 지나간 자리에 남은 흔적과 같은 이미지를 표현한다.
이러한 흔적들은 단순히 힘들었던 과거가 아닌, 오늘날의 본오를 만들어 준 아름다운 기억의 조각들로,
그 과정에서 갈고 닦은 우리만의 상징적인 형태로서 나타난다.
이번 전시는 단순히 과거 기록을 넘어 디자인적 고민과 합리적인 사고 흐름,
우리의 철학이 어떻게 축적되고 발전했는지, 그 과정을 전달하고자 한다.
As the only spatial design company participating in Seoul Design 2024,
held throughout the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP),
we presented our standalone exhibition pavilion "Bono's Archive of Memories and Traces."
The pavilion, conceived as a memory repository showcasing our 21-year journey,
was designed as an exclusive exhibition space where visitors could experience our philosophy and essence.
It was crafted as a space where traces of memories and folds of thought come together to form a single narrative.
Just as traces of memories and thoughts from different layers form one story,
we created the pavilion with four column objects
that embody various structures, themes, and philosophies interwoven together.
These objects express an image reminiscent of a lone tree that has weathered and grown in a barren field,
like traces left behind after nature's wind and rain have passed.
These traces are not merely remainder of a difficult past,
but rather beautiful fragments of memory that have shaped today's Bono,
manifesting as our own symbolic forms refined through this journey.
This exhibition aims to go beyond simply documenting the past;
it seeks to convey how our design thinking,
rational thought processes, and philosophy have accumulated and evolved over time.
